Top Five Best Quarterbacks of All Time

There have been many incredible quarterbacks who have played in the NFL through the years. Kidzworld picks the top five ever!

#5. Tom Brady

Honestly, Tom Brady should probably a little higher on this list, but since he is still in the midst of his career, it is hard to rank his legacy yet. However, what he has accomplished so far is nothing short of amazing. He has won three Super Bowl's (soon to be four) and has been a Pro Bowl selection four times. In the 2007 season, Tom led the Patriots to an undefeated season, was named league MVP and set numerous records including the most touchdowns thrown in a season. When it is all said and done, he might go down as the best quarterback ever!

#4. Johnny Unitas

Johnny Unitas was by far the most dominant quarterback in his era. From 1956 to 1973, Johnny U was the man while playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Colts and the San Diego Chargers. He won the Super Bowl in 1958 and he won the league MVP twice in his career. He also was a 10-time Pro Bowl selection and threw for 290 touchdowns in his 17-year career. Johnny was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979 and in 2002 he died at the age of 69 of a heart attack.

#3. Terry Bradshaw

Before he was one of the most popular TV commentators, Terry Bradshaw was an absolute monster on the gridiron. The Lousiana native was a four-time Super Bowl champion during his playing days with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s and early '80s. He was MVP of two of those Super Bowl wins and he was also the league MVP in 1978. Bradshaw was one of the toughest competitors and never backed down from a challenge.

#2. John Elway

When you think of the Denver Broncos, probably the first image that comes in your head is John Elway. For 15 seasons, Elway was the heart and soul of the Broncos and led them to five Super Bowl appearances, winning two of them. He was also a nine-time Pro Bowler and was named league MVP in 1987. One of the best things about John was he was always consistent. He is one of only three quarterbacks to pass for at least 3,000 yards in 12 seasons. He also thrived on pressure; in his career he led his teams to a record 47 fourth quarter comebacks.

Joe Montana's career was nothing short of amazing. One of the smartest clutch athlete's in history, Montana was a flat out winner. He captained the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl victories. He was nicknamed the "Comeback Kid" because he was the master of come-from-behind wins. Joe was responsible for more late game comebacks than any other quarterback in history. Over his 15-year career, Joe threw for over 40,000 yards and 273 TD's. With accomplishments like that, there is no doubt he gets top honors on this list.
