Who will follow in David Cook's footsteps to win the next coveted American Idol title and a major recording contract? The eighth season of American Idol kicks off on July 17, 2008, so start warmin' up your vocal chords!
Audition Checklist
If you're
16 to 28 years old, then you're eligible to
audition for AI. But those of you who are under 18 must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian and bring a completed Guardianship and Medical Authorization for Minors form, which you can
download here. As well, bring two pieces of
identification, like a birth certificate and a school ID card, and a completed
Release form that you can download by
clicking here. Be prepared to sing a song of your choice, but it must be
a cappella (without music). If
Simon, Paula and Randy like you, you'll be called back and asked to
sing a song of their choice - good luck!
Audition Locations
Auditions are being held in
eight cities across
the US. And for the first time, American Idol is traveling to the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to check out the talent there!
