Hawthorne Heights and Jason Reeves CD Reviews

Hawthorne Heights drops their third album, and Jason Reeves has a stellar debut on the way. Kidzworld checks out the tunes.
Hawthorne Heights :: Fragile Future
Hawthorne Heights jumped out as one of he most successful
emo/screamo acts around with their platinum and
gold CDs The Silence in Black and White and
If Only You Were Lonely. Unfortunately, guitarist Casey Calvert passed away while they were touring at the end of last year, and the band was obviously
hit hard. Now they’re doing their best to move on, with Casey along for the ride in spirit.
Fragile Future is a solid album where they continue to dabble in
sentimental lyrics and tight hooks, even though they might not be as killer as what the boys have dropped in the past.
Hawthorne Heights fans will be satisfied, but not blown away.

Jason Reeves :: The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache. (and Other Frightening Tales)
You might not know
Jason Reeves yet, but you definitely know his work. Jason co-wrote the
massive hits Bubbly and
Realize with
Colby Caillat and now he’s stepping onto the scene with
The Magnificent Adventures of Heartache (and Other Frightening Tales). The CD title is a
mouthful, but the only thing you have to know about Jason is that he’s one seriously talented
singer-songwriter. His
lyrics are spot on, and his
sensitive, soulful voice shines. With all of the
over-produced music out there, it’s really nice to hear honest tracks like
Someone Somewhere,
You in a Song, and well, all of them really. This is a
great debut from someone destined to make music that
people love.
Fun Facts
Jason’s album will be released digitally on August 12th and will be available in stores September 9th, 2008.
iTunes named Jason one of the Top Indie Singer-Songwriters of 2007.
Jason co-wrote a total of 10 tracks on Colbie Caillat’s breakthrough platinum album, CoCo.
Jason will start touring at the end of August, so check out his MySpace for a show near you.
Hot Tracks
You in a Song,
Photographs and Memories, Someone Somewhere,
Reaching.
